1 min readBellevue Varsity Wolverines had a tough time generating runs on Friday, dropping their game with Lake Washington Varsity Kang’s 12-2.
Bellevue Varsity Wolverines got things started in the first inning when Brooklyn Jones singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Lake Washington Varsity Kang’s pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Addie Saperstein singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Christina Minor singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Rachel Sapersteen doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and Tess Bumiller singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Bumiller pitched Lake Washington Varsity Kang’s to victory. The ace surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out ten.
Rachel Treves took the loss for Bellevue Varsity Wolverines. The righty lasted three innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out two and walking one.
Jones, Emi Williams, Amirah Haque, and Treves each collected one hit to lead Bellevue Varsity Wolverines.
Lake Washington Varsity Kang’s collected 12 hits. Minor, Sapersteen, and Mary Madeline Roe each had multiple hits for Lake Washington Varsity Kang’s.
