2 min readBellevue Varsity Wolverines nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Liberty Varsity Patriots on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with Bellevue Varsity Wolverines batting in the top of the ninth when Rachel Treves singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Liberty Varsity Patriots scored three runs in the third inning, but Bellevue Varsity Wolverines still managed to pull out the victory. Abby Gallas and Jasmine Chong all drove in runs in the frame.
Bellevue Varsity Wolverines tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Bellevue Varsity Wolverines’s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Cam Durrell and Treves and a single by Meg Corsi.
Treves earned the victory in the circle for Bellevue Varsity Wolverines. The pitcher lasted nine innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out 20.
Elyse McMullin took the loss for Liberty Varsity Patriots. McMullin surrendered four runs on 15 hits over nine innings, striking out 16.

Gallas went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Liberty Varsity Patriots in hits. Liberty Varsity Patriots tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Desi Arnaiz led the way with two.
