Bellevue traveled to Wenatchee for a sun-soaked doubleheader, and in the first game lost to a strong Woodinville team 15-2. The Wolverines took an early 2-0 lead on the defending KingCo 4A champions, but it was all Woodinville from there on in.

Dejah Rogers’s big day not enough, as Bellevue Wolverines Varsity loses 15-2 to Woodinville
Despite Dejah Rogers’s 2-3 performance at the plate on Saturday, Bellevue Wolverines Varsity took a 15-2 loss at the hands of Woodinville at Wenatchee.
Two of Bellevue Wolverines Varsity’s runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Dejah. She homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Kathryn Hatlen got the win for Woodinville. She allowed two runs over six innings. Kathryn struck out seven, walked two and gave up six hits.
Woodinville’s Sara Taketa, Alena Jones, Rochelle Taicz and Kathryn combined for nine hits and nine RBIs.
Dejah took the loss for Bellevue Wolverines Varsity. She allowed 15 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked eight and struck out four.
Bellevue Wolverines Varsity jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. A two-run blast by Dejah, bringing home Stuart Buxton started the inning off.
Woodinville went up for good in the third, scoring four runs on two singles and a two-run triple by Sara.
Woodinville increased its lead with four runs in the fourth. A hit into a fielder’s choice scored Rochelle for the inning’s first run.
