Wolverines Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Interlake
An early lead helped Bellevue Wolverines defeat Interlake 18-11 on Wednesday. Bellevue Wolverines scored on a stolen base by Montana Jones in the first inning, a fielder’s choice by Kendall Mecham in the first inning, a single by Claire Seats in the first inning, and a double by Brooklyn Jones in the second inning.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Bellevue Wolverines collected 16 hits and Interlake 12 in the high-scoring affair
Bellevue Wolverines tallied seven runs in the sixth inning. Bellevue Wolverines offense in the inning was led by Kelly Treves, Morgan Pingree, Jones, and Treves, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Charlotte Cullom was the winning pitcher for Bellevue Wolverines. She went six innings, allowing nine runs on nine hits and striking out five. Rachel Treves threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
