Wolverines Lose Lead Early In Defeat to Redmond – End of Regular Season

Wolverines watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Redmond on Friday. Redmond scored on a double by Haley Hanson in the first inning, a double by Mara Kipnis in the first inning, a ground out by Jennifer Cummings in the first inning, and a walk by Kipnis in the second inning.

Redmond took an early lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Haley Hanson drove in one run when she doubled.

Redmond scored three runs in the sixth inning. Redmond’s big inning was driven by a single by Mara Kipnis and a walk by Jennifer Cummings.

Kiki Robinson Milloy earned the win for Redmond. She went seven innings, giving up zero runs, zero hits, and striking out 15. Kelly Treves took the loss for Bellevue Wolverines Varsity. She threw six innings, giving up eight runs, and nine hits.

Redmond had 11 hits in the game. Milloy, Lauren Lund, Hanson, and Kipnis each collected multiple hits for Redmond. Redmond was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Cummings had the most chances in the field with 15.
