Juanita Captures Lead Early To Defeat Bellevue Wolverines Varsity

Bellevue Wolverines Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 15-10 loss to Juanita on Monday. Juanita scored on a double by Kacie Gordon, a single by Briar Swayne, a double by Jordan Schroeder, a single by Sasha Mitchell, and a double by Abbie Reynolds in the first inning.

Despite the loss, Bellevue Wolverines Varsity did collect 16 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Juanita had 17 hits on the way to victory.

In the first inning, Juanita got their offense started when Gordon doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Bellevue Wolverines Varsity put up three runs in the sixth inning. Kelly Treves and Claire Seatseach drove in runs during the inning.

Mackenzie Burke earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Juanita. She surrendered seven runs on 13 hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one. Heather Gengo threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Treves took the loss for Bellevue Wolverines Varsity. She went seven innings, allowing 15 runs on 17 hits and striking out seven.

Annisa Tax started the game for Juanita. She allowed zero hits and two runs walking zero.
