A wild win in Wenatchee for Wolverines

Bellevue’s two-game trip to Wenatchee ended in thrilling fashion, as the Wolverines scored three times in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-3 victory.

Freshman Priya White’s walk-off single scored fellow freshman Audrey Souders to end the game. Earlier in the inning, Dejah Rogers doubled home Amelia Beardsley before Souders singled home Kristie Bennett to tie the game.

Below is the game recap from Gamechanger. Bellevue, 2-2, plays at Garfield on Monday, then at home Thursday against Hazen.

Kristie Bennett helps Bellevue Wolverines Varsity down Eastmont 4-3

Kristie Bennett had two extra base hits as Bellevue Wolverines Varsity took home a 4-3 victory over Eastmont in six innings at Wenatchee on Saturday.

She doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Eastmont couldn’t get anything going as long as Dejah Rogers was in the circle. Eastmont managed just one hit off of Rogers, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during her six innings of work.

Bellevue Wolverines Varsity was sparked by Kristie and Dejah, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.

Maggie Walker was the game’s losing pitcher. She lasted just 5 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.

In the top of the first, Eastmont grabbed the early lead, 1-0.

Eastmont scored one run in the fourth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fifth. In the fourth, Eastmont scored on a groundout by Haley Fabian, bringing home Madie Ransford.

Bellevue Wolverines Varsity scored one run of its own in the fourth. Bellevue Wolverines Varsity scored on an RBI double by Kristie.
